Jacqueline Fernandez, a Sri Lankan actor from Bahrain's Manama was born into a multicultural family. Jacqueline's father Elroy is a Sri Lankan (Catholic Sinhalese) and her mother, Kim is a Malaysian. She has two brothers and one older sister. The 80s were the time when her parents emigrated to Bahrain due to civil unrest on Sri Lanka. As a result, she was both born and raised in the country. In Australia she was enrolled in Media and Communications at University of Sydney after completing her studies in Bahrain. She was also a student at an institute called the Berlitz School of Languages, which allowed her to improve her French, Arabic and Spanish. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 won Miss Universe 2006 competition in March of 2006, and later was also crowned Miss Universe 2006 also. In 2006, she took home the Miss Sri Lanka title. Then, she stepped on television as a host of a program on Sri Lankan business called Lanka Business Report. Padukone was the daughter and badminton world champion Prakash Padukone. Padukone grew her life in Bangalore however, she is a native of Copenhagen. As a teenager she competed in badminton championships at national levels. But, she resigned from the sport in order to become a fashion designer. Padukone is a native of Mangalorean origins and speaks Konkani as her native language. Padukone Village is situated within Kundapura Taluk within the Udupi Distric of Karnataka in India. His father, Prakash Padukone, is a retired badminton player of world-class fame, while her mother is a travel agent.
